ClinicalTrials.gov API version tracking added to JHO manuscript
The oncology FIH research manuscript generation pipeline now captures ClinicalTrials.gov API version and data timestamp at query time. This metadata is critical for reproducibility - knowing which version of the ClinicalTrials.gov API was used and when the data was last updated allows future researchers to understand potential differences in results. The implementation uses a tryCatch wrapper around get_json() to gracefully handle API failures, defaulting to “unknown” rather than breaking the pipeline. The version information is automatically injected into the data freeze markdown report.
